Aids is real bro. Hope you make it
not sure what you're referring to. are you sure you're watching the right channel? lol!
Awesome marketable advice, Aaron!😀👍
Thanks! Glad it was helpful!
💜
What is the context of this? In real life, millions and millions of people are just trying to survive. They don't care about the journey to survive. They need to be a stable destination that is ever-harder to reach because of late-stage capitalism
Could you start a home health business?
Yes. Absolutely. People who are not physical therapists open health care businesses all the time.
I am currently pursuing physical therapy as a career and I'm trying to get a plan set in motion. How would keeping patients information work, like flowsheets, daily notes, evaluations, payments? As well as being a home health cash pay therapist, how would the documentation and making money work?
There are many different ways to make this work! It depends on your preferences and what's easiest for you. Cash-based gives you the flexibility to do what you prefer.
Great episode 👏
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it :-D
This was such a great episode! I can fully relate with Odell's PT school experiences from the aspect of feeling exactly how he felt. Great episode!
Awesome! So glad it resonated with you! Stoked to be working with you now. Keep crushing it :-D
Going through it now, brother thank you for the video
absolutely! Once you finish, I would love to know what was most helpful for you?
I went to physical therapy for 3 months,I was working with a PTA and all I did was some exercises,he would tell me which exercise to do next and he would never spend time with me,he would go to his computer doing documentation. My sessions were like 40 min in general and I was left alone most of the time and he never even engaged in any kind of conversation which seemed weird to me. He was kind and smiling for like the first month then he went all cold and distant suddenly. I felt hurt and ripped off.
hey. Thanks for your comment. I'm really sorry you had a bad experience in physical therapy. All I can say is that all "physical therapy" is not the same and I hope you give it another try if and when you need it. There are many therapists out there that will be able to provide a much better experience. This is an experience I hear about all too often, especially when going to a traditional insurance based clinic or corporate owned clinic because the focus isn't 100% on patients. It's split between patients, documentation and billing. That's why our clinic and most of our coaching clients are not contracted with insurance, so we can provide a top quality 100% focused on you experience. Be sure to search out a physical therapist who works in or owns their own local practice, preferably where you can be seen 1:1 for 30-60 min.
im excited
Awesome! Stoked to have you joining us!
I can't wait to take my first class with him this year!
I'm excited for you!
I give myself treatments and I would everyone is willing to try it.
It's amazing!
Asking for the phone number seems intrusive. Is that necessary?
It’s not necessarily but people reply to text even more than email and getting a phone number improves the quality of the lead. The next question I have for you is “how much money do you want to make? 😀
yep. You're right....thanks for responding!!
I often do this technique....and most of the time It occurs to me...that most people are either stupid or a$$holes!
The get what your saying ,but I have this mexican co-worker who would tear you up ,no matter what you say of do ,that ass will berate you non stop ,peeking over your shoulder ,then run his mouth to everyone all day long , the nicer you are the worse he is
Idk what emails you've received but the person that sent the email needs to think about that. This advice excuses sociopaths/ psychopaths. The practice your promoting has it's uses but it is definitely not to be the first choice or people dealing with this issue on the regular. I wish you the best and have a nice day!
I’m a massage therapist looking to get into PTA. I also have CNA. I’m a 46 year old male.
I’m considering using CNA and Massage for a in home cash based service and forgoing PTA because I can’t evaluate. Otherwise, I’d have to be a PTA for benefits and Massage for extra money.

Love your video. How would you go about documentation? Do you make your own template for notes or use another EMR? Which ones do you like? 🤗
Thanks so much! I would check out my cashpttoolkit.com. It contains documentation templates and many other forms. For EMR, there's IntakeQ, PtEverywhere, Jane. Those are the top 3 that myself and my clients use :-D
@@AaronLeBauer I will check it out, thanks
Do you work with other types of practitioners like occupational therapists to assist with starting a practice?
Yes. Some of our most successful clients are occupational therapists. Feel free to shoot reply back or shoot me a message on Instagram instagram.com/aaronlebauer if you have any additional questions or want to chat about which program is right for you.

I have a defective personality disorder due to being a former victim of a forced adoption and subsewuent childhood abuse trauma eg an adoptive reject! EVERY job I've had I have lost after WEEKS bcoz I am worthless and useless 😐
Ditch your therapist... dig through your past. Later dig more in your past. Lastly, dig through your past and leave the debris and garbage on the side of the road. Move on! Honestly, she divorced you years prior to the talk. You're going be great!!!! No mercy to the future. 🎉
Try paying people more
Thanks for the constructive comment. 🤣
There's a lot more to a job than $$ Even if you do offer a lot it doesn't always work. Friends Family sense Of purpose etc
Insurance is a scam....no doubt about it.
So your "ethical " way of treating people is to only take customers that have enough actual cash in the bank to pay you? Now who's letting money influence their decision making. Some people live check to check and couldn't even come close to affording a check up, never mind an injury or emergency surgery. Some become doctors because they make lots of money , but the best doctors ,I believe, are the ones that want to make the quality of life better for as many people as possible.
I didn't say "only take customers that have enough actual cash in the bank to pay". That's your judgment. I said the ethical way is to be transparent with the cost and billing and make a contract directly with our customers. Just because I say "cash" doesn't mean it's expensive. It's often more expensive to use your insurance, it's just that the costs are hidden. Costs including MRI's which are often unnecessary especially for the majority of the conditions we treat.
Isn’t the better way forward to have Medicare for All? Why not eliminate so much for-profit bureaucracy for everyone, not just the wealthy people who can pay for the boutique care you want to offer? Healthcare access & care provider control should be for everyone, not just wealthy people.
"cash" or out of network care isn't just for wealthy people. It's for people who value their health, just like the plumber, electrician, auto mechanic, dentist, hair dresser, barber, etc. People pay for those because they value it and no one in Iowa who is not familiar with plumbing is deciding how to fix the stoppage in your sink, etc "medicare for all" is a great idea, but medicare has it's own and most of the same issues too. I think if we're going for government healthcare we need the "same health care plan congress has for all".
Americans are literal slaves to this industry and they don’t even know it. I’ve traveled abroad and must say, I much prefer the service and doctors of Colombia than the quality I get in America. Colombia ranks higher than America too. Most drugs are inexpensive and I don’t have to play some stupidfkn game with pharmacy’s to get my meds. They refuse to fill my prescription from my Colombian doctor and told me to go to a clinic to get a new prescription. Unreal. I need blood pressure meds. Not some opioids or witchcraft.
This is great! Im a PTA practicing for 4 years now at an OP clinic, starting PT school next year (2 year program). Would love to get the process started for making a successful cash practice.
Hey, Thanks for your comment and congrats on starting PT School. Be sure to grab a FREE copy of my book The CashPT Blueprint www.cashptblueprintbook.com/
This is tricky. I don't know if my PT is willing to give me a superbill. Realizing that these visits are adding up
There’s no harm in asking and wether you get one or not most times with just physical therapy visits our patients don’t hit their deductible anyways and our focus is on what’s best for you and sounds like you’ve done a great therapist.
Doc, both of you are groundbreakers. i dont know if you realize this. you are laying the foundation that is going to help bring the due recognition and respect that Doctors of PT deserve. At my current SNF contract, Ive received multiple complaints from admin of my refering to myself as "Dr J the physical therapist" So, im even more so excited about what youre doing.Your influence will ultimately change how PTs allow themselves to be treated by employers. I see it also causing a shift of PTs away from the SNFs, hospitals and home health and into their own practices through sole proprietorship or partnership. SNFs and HH companies will undergo a major shift and will have to rebrand. I'm in the process of building a private practice. im tapping into your services so I wont lose time, money and sleep trying to reinvent the wheel. Gods blessings be upon you. both. Sincerely, D Jack DPT MPH

You can treat patients how you want? What?
Amazing, right?! ;-D
@@AaronLeBauerWTF do you mean by that, because in no world other than maybe commie world, are you allowed to treat patients how you want.
Sir i am a hvac site engineer in Aec construction industry- i was out of work for 4 years due to personal reasons taking care of my mother she was not well yet working fortunately she has retired now so how can i start my job search process which points would work in my favour like direct cold call or cold email or posting resume or messaging on LinkedIn ? Also does being very honest direct help me in this case should i first talk about it before they coming to know ? Are there any good books on this subject to know more ...
Hey thanks for your comment! Adopting a mindset of abundance is the best foundation. My coaching clients like the book "Mindset: The New Psychology of Success" by Carol S. Dweck.
Thoughts on pros/cons of just....owning the gym yourself instead of renting? If renting, how often are you setting aside time to be there in the gym? Do you have agreements with multiple gyms to increase mobility in the area?
I’ve worked with a few clients who owned the gym. If you’re just starting out decide if you want to own a gym or a Pt clinic. If you start out in a few locations you increase your exposure to new clients for sure.
I can’t believe you only have a handful of comments! This is such a relaxed, informative conversation with Mr John. Thank you for putting forth the effort to meet together and keeping this video up!
Thanks so much for your comment! So glad you found it helpful :-D

Hey Aaron, I created a superbill template but I am confused about he CPT code fee. How do we know how to price each procedure? Also, if a patient pays for an initial evaluation (cash) $200 but also received manual therapy during that visit, do I noted as $0 and only charge the 200? Thanks!
Hey! In cash PT, it's arbitrary what we put down for units. You can choose 3 units in an hour or 4. And it's up to you to decide the pricing for each procedure. So you take the amount charged per visit and divide that by the number of units you chose and that's what you put on the superbill. Check out this blog post that speaks more to this, and also read the comments at the end. www.lebauerconsulting.com/physical-therapy-cash-practice-super-bill-receipt/
Can I get the videos to better equip myself as front desk?

Instead of marketing the e-books in order to eventually get the user to become a client, what has been your results when you just run ads for the therapy service?
running ads is tough if you don't have a proven offer and if you don't have an ebook or lead magnet and just try to run ads to book an appointment, you'll have a harder time. There are a lot of strategies we use to fill schedules before we start running ads.
So many take aways. My biggest is to always be honest and truthful
Thanks for sharing that. I'm glad it was insightful!
Damn, I underestimated how much dept you have on marketing 🙈 I apologize. This is gold Thanks for showing up man
You're absolutely welcome! 🙌
"Seeing you as an expert" Rather than being an expert, I presume. That just seems industry standard.
Yep! many people are "experts" they just don't show it or share their wins and lessons 🙌
I am glad to hear about the massage license. I really wanted to start there before the PTA program, but I think I'll start in on the LMT after the PTA program.
Happy this was helpful!
